Next Level Engineering Services to Acquire WestCAM’s SolidWorks CAD Business 

WestCAM Cadergy Solutions to Focus on Manufacturing Business with GibbsCAM  

WestCAM Cadergy Solutions Inc. (WestCAM), a British Columbia CAD/CAM sales and support business, today announced the sale of its SolidWorks CAD business to Next Level Engineering Services (Next Level). WestCAM will continue its business as a manufacturing solutions provider, with GibbsCAM as its primary product line.

“The team at Next Level is able to provide advantages to the SolidWorks customers whom we have had the privilege of working with over the past several years,” said Chuck Van Volkingburgh, President of WestCAM. The management at Next Level have strong backgrounds in supporting advanced 3D CAD/CAM, FEA, PDM and PLM systems, and they are in a good position to focus on this kind of highly-specialized support”.

Next Level has retained all of WestCAM’s dedicated SolidWorks employees so that customers will have access to the same high level of support to which they have become accustomed. “The retention of these highly-skilled employees, combined with the same office locations and SolidWorks certified local training facilities, will ensure that the customers experience a truly seamless transition,” said Craig Zier, Next Level Technical Director. WestCAM will be working closely with Next Level to ensure that the transfer goes smoothly.

“With over 300 CNC and CAM customers to support, we felt that it made sense for WestCAM to focus on the CAM side, which has been one of our core strengths,” said Van Volkingburgh. “We are pleased to work with Next Level to help them maintain and elevate the SolidWorks business to high standards of support and service.
